Human Trafficking in the Eastern Bloc
The fall of communism in the Eastern Bloc countries left a law enforcement void that caused the human trafficking of woman and children to explode. This country is so poor that neighbors, friend's, and relatives are the ones selling young woman and kids into mainly sex slavery.

AFRICA
Kony and Child Soldiers of Uganda
Joseph Kony of Uganda heads the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA).
He and the LRA terrorized small villages in Central Africa and make the children of the village kill their parents and then forces the kids to serve in the LRA.


Mauritania
Slavery's last stronghold
Mauritania in Eastern Africa has 10-20 % of its population serving as slaves. 
CNN is currently running stories that is bringing this situation to the world. 
A great deal of those serving as slaves are working for owners that their parents worked for.



CNN Freedom Project Challenge 
CNN is having a Fair-Trade Chocolate Challenge where people can submit recipes using Fair-Trade Chocolate which is chocolate Free of child labor.
An estimated  200,000 children work on cocoa farms in the Ivory Coast alone, according to UNICEF.



AMERICA'S 
Death Train of Mexico
Thousands of Central and South Americans ride the trains in order to get to the US/Mexico Border and cross illegally into the US.
Mexican gangs target these people  for kidnaping and ransom, often times ending in the death of the travelers. 




Human Trafficking in Oklahoma
Human trafficking in the United States is a 3 billion dollar business.  
Oklahoma is becoming the capitol of human trafficking in the United States, because of its central location of Interstate trucking industry.
